How to Create an Event

Overview 

One Step's Agenda offers many useful tools to organize Users and Client calendars. The Event feature, located within the Agenda, allows you assign Curfew Check In's, House Meetings or Staff Meetings, etc. 

Users can locate their Event's in the Agenda on menu bar in One Step. 

In the One Step Recovery App, Event's will be displayed in the Agenda button located on the home page. They will also receive a pop up notification in the App when an Agenda item is assigned. Clients can see when tasks are due as well as complete them from the home page of the app with ease.

 

How to Create an Event

  • Navigate to the Agenda on the menu bar to the left

  • Click Add to Agenda, the blue button on the right

  • Select who you are creating the Event for

•Single client: you are creating an item for an individual client

•Group of clients: you are creating an item for a group of clients such as an entire facility’s clientele 

•Single staff member: you are creating an item for an individual staff member 

•Group of staff members: you are creating an item for a group of staff members such as, an entire facility’s staff

 

 

How to Create an Event for a Single Client

  • Select the single client & click the blue Next button

  • Next select Event

  • Next, you will fill out the Event information you are creating
  • Event:

    •Enter a Title, Description, Address

    •Choose the kind of check in, if no check in is necessary select “No Check in” otherwise the event will be able to be checked into by clients

    •Enter the Dates and times & choose if the event is recurring

    •If you have selected “Yes” for the event to recur, click the “Set Schedule” drop down to      choose the frequency of the recurring event

*Pro tip: Be sure to choose the end time of the Event as the time you wish your staff members to be sent the Summary of the event 

*If you are creating a "Curfew Check In", you will want to make it according to your Organization policy. A couple suggestions: make it an "All day event" or choose a broad window of time to give the client's a chance to check in. For instance, 9:00pm - 11:00pm. They would have a two hour window to check in to the Facility. You will then receive the Event Summary at 11:00pm when the event check in closes.

*Clients can check in to events up to 15 minutes ahead of time.

 

Next...

  • Scroll down, select a File and Event Reminders 
  • Once you filled out the information, double check your work and click the blue Create Event button in the bottom right corner

How to Create an Event for a Group of Clients

  • Select the Group you're creating an Event for & click the blue Next button

  • Follow the same steps above to complete the 

 

*Follow the same steps for staff member(s)
